2026 Official Ballot & Notice of Annual Meeting

CHELCO’s Board of Trustees election is here, and voting is your opportunity to exercise Democratic Member Control, one of our core Cooperative Principles.

All members should have recently received their CHELCO Annual Meeting packet, which includes:
 ✅ An official ballot and registration card
 ✅ A prepaid return envelope
 ✅ Voting instructions
 ✅ Details about our Annual Meeting on Saturday, April 18, at Freeport High School, where election results will be announced

Trustee Elections
This year, trustee elections for Districts 3, 5, and 8 will be conducted by mail-in ballot. To help meet the 2% quorum required by our Bylaws, all members are encouraged to vote in each district election—regardless of where they live. Because CHELCO elections are conducted at large, every member can cast a vote in all districts.

All members who submit a ballot will be entered into a drawing for one of four $100 bill credits.

📬 How to Submit Your Ballot
•    Place your completed ballot in the prepaid envelope addressed to Survey & Ballot Systems, our election partner.
•    Do NOT send your ballot to CHELCO, as it will not be counted.
•    Ballots must be received by April 13, 2026, so please allow time for delivery.
