Scam alert: We have received reports that a solar sales company is knocking on doors claiming to have partnered with CHELCO. Be aware, neither CHELCO nor a CHELCO contractor is in your area promoting solar installation. We assure all our members that we DO NOT partner with solar or any renewable energy sales company. Our employees will be identifiable by a business card, badge or logoed uniforms or vehicles. If you have any questions, please call us at (850) 892-2111.

CHELCO's net metering program allows members to connect renewable generation to CHELCO's utility infrastructure. Members who choose to interconnect can sell excess energy to CHELCO at our wholesale power cost.

To help members understand the potential savings and payback, CHELCO gathered metering data from its 5-kilowatt (KW) solar array in front of our Operations Center and obtained a current price to install a rooftop solar unit of that size.
