In just 48 hours since Hurricane Isaias made landfall, restoration efforts have reduced outages from more than 71,000 to fewer than 23,000 CHELCO members. That’s tremendous progress made possible by the dedication of our team and the overwhelming support of mutual aid linemen, contractors and support personnel from across the country.
By the time restoration is complete, more than 1,400 personnel will have contributed to getting the lights back on for our members. We continue to anticipate that power will be restored to the majority of members by Tuesday night.
