(DeFuniak Springs, Oct. 29) - Hurricane Zeta made landfall in southeastern Louisiana Wednesday afternoon, as the fast-moving Category 2 hurricane swept across the southeast, bringing gusts of nearly 70 mph to portions of CHELCO's service territory. 

As of 8 a.m. Thursday, CHELCO has approximately 65 outages affecting more than 3,000 members throughout CHELCO's service territory. Crews are working to restore power as quickly and safely as possible.
