CHELCO has completed restoration efforts for all members whose homes and businesses are able to safely receive power. However, some members may still be without electricity because storm damage to their homes or electrical equipment must be addressed before service can be restored.
If your home has sustained damage, there are several steps you can take to help ensure power can be safely restored.
1. Have your home inspected for damage.
If your home sustained damage to its electrical system, meter base, weatherhead or other electrical equipment, a licensed electrician may need to inspect and repair the damage before power can be restored.
2. Contact a licensed electrician.
If damage to your home's electrical equipment prevents power from being restored, contact a licensed electrician to assess the situation and make the necessary repairs.
3. Contact CHELCO when repairs are complete.
Once the necessary repairs and inspections have been completed, contact CHELCO to coordinate the next steps for restoring service to your home. You can reach CHELCO at (850) 892-2111 or (800) 342-0990.
