Recently, I had the privilege of representing both CHELCO and our broader cooperative network while delivering the President’s Report at the NCSC/Utility Capital Solutions 45th Annual Membership Meeting in San Diego. It was an opportunity to reflect on progress, acknowledge meaningful partnerships, and look ahead to the future of our industry.

One of the most significant milestones highlighted during my remarks was the organization’s recent corporate brand and name change to Utility Capital Solutions. This transition represents more than a new name—it reflects a continued commitment to evolving alongside the needs of electric cooperatives, telecommunications providers, and affiliated organizations. As our industry adapts to new challenges and opportunities, having strong, flexible financial partners is more important than ever.

With the close of this year’s annual meeting, my tenure as President of the board has come to an end. While that chapter concludes, I am grateful to continue serving on the board through 2028. It has been an honor to work alongside such a dedicated group of leaders who share a common mission of strengthening the cooperative model and supporting critical infrastructure projects across the country.

I would also like to extend a sincere thank you to Andrew Don and the entire team at CFC. Their partnership and support have been instrumental in what has been a productive and impactful year for NCSC/Utility Capital Solutions. Strong partnerships like these are a cornerstone of our success—both at the national level and here at home.

Serving in this role has reinforced something we see every day at CHELCO: when organizations come together with a shared purpose, we can accomplish great things. Whether it’s financing important projects, advancing innovation, or ensuring reliable service for the communities we serve, collaboration remains key.

For cooperatives, telecom providers, and related organizations seeking financing solutions for special projects, I encourage you to explore the resources available through Utility Capital Solutions. Their work continues to play an important role in supporting the long-term strength and resilience of our industry.

It has been a privilege to serve in this leadership capacity, and I look forward to continuing to support the mission in the years ahead.
